From the Poetic Records of "The Woman Who Walked with God”

“A Record of the

Woman Who Walked with God”

A Poetic Reading in the Cadence of Scripture by Faith Sparrow

And it came to pass that a woman journeyed through a land of many sorrows, and her feet were weary because of the path. Yet the Lord caused a light to rest upon her way, and the fields before her glowed with warmth, as though the earth itself remembered her name.

And behold, a house stood in the midst of the land — small, but steadfast — and the winds could not move it, neither could the storms overthrow it. For the hand of the Lord had strengthened its beams, and its walls were set upon truth.

And round about the house were trees, tall and ancient, whose roots reached into generations past. And the woman perceived that these were they who had gone before, who watched and waited and whispered courage into her soul.

And the path that led unto the house was winding, yet it was sure; and though it turned through valleys and rose upon hills, it brought her ever closer to peace. For the Lord walked beside her, though she saw Him not, and His presence was as the soft sky above — constant, gentle, and full of promise.

Thus the woman learned that no journey is wasted, and no tear is forgotten, and no truth is lost before God. And she lifted her eyes, and her heart was strengthened, and she continued on her way.- Faith
